अध्यात्मज्ञाननित्यत्वं तत्त्वज्ञानार्थदर्शनम्।

एतज्ज्ञानमिति प्रोक्तमज्ञानं यदतोऽन्यथा॥१२॥

Adhyatma-Jnana-Nityatvam Tattva-Jnana-Artha-Darshanam.

Etaj-Jnanam-Iti Proktam-Ajnanam Yad-Ato'nyatha.

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

अध्यात्मज्ञान में नित्य स्थिति और तत्त्वज्ञान के प्रयोजन का दर्शन — यह सब 'ज्ञान' कहा गया है और जो इससे विपरीत है वह 'अज्ञान' है।

English Translation

Constancy in self-knowledge and perception of the goal of true knowledge — all this is declared to be knowledge, and what is contrary to this is ignorance.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna concludes the list of twenty virtues by emphasizing constant abidance in spiritual knowledge and keeping the goal of liberation always in view. These qualities collectively purify the mind and prepare it for the direct realization of the Self. Anything contrary to these virtues is termed ignorance.
