Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

If, taking refuge in ego, you think 'I will not fight' — this resolve of yours is vain. Your own nature will compel you.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna addresses Arjuna's potential resistance directly. The decision to not fight would itself be driven by ego, not wisdom. One's inherent nature (Kshatriya nature for Arjuna) cannot be denied through willful suppression — it will inevitably assert itself. True freedom lies in conscious alignment with one's nature, not in its denial.
