Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
One who restrains the organs of action but continues to dwell on sense objects in the mind is deluded and is called a hypocrite.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna exposes the futility of external renunciation without internal detachment. A person who physically abstains from action but mentally fantasizes about pleasures is worse than one who honestly engages in action. True restraint must begin in the mind. This verse is a powerful critique of superficial asceticism.
