Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
श्रीभगवान बोले — मैंने इस अव्यय (अविनाशी) योग को सूर्यदेव विवस्वान से कहा था; विवस्वान ने मनु से कहा और मनु ने इक्ष्वाकु से कहा।
English Translation
The Supreme Lord said: I taught this imperishable yoga to Vivasvan (the sun-god); Vivasvan taught it to Manu, and Manu taught it to Ikshvaku.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna begins by revealing the ancient origin of this yoga, tracing its lineage from Himself to the sun-god, then to Manu (the progenitor of humanity), and then to King Ikshvaku. This establishes that divine knowledge is eternal and was originally received through a disciplic succession. The word 'avyayam' (imperishable) emphasizes that this knowledge transcends time.
