Commentary (टीका)

This verse describes the practical yogic technique for conscious departure. The senses are withdrawn (pratyahara), the mind is collected in the heart center, and the prana is raised to the crown of the head. This systematic process of internalization prepares the yogi for the final departure described in the next verse.
