Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

जिनके लिए हम राज्य, भोग और सुख चाहते हैं, वे ही ये सब लोग अपने प्राण और धन को त्यागकर युद्ध में खड़े हैं।

English Translation

Those for whose sake we desire kingdom, enjoyments, and pleasures — they are standing here in battle, ready to give up their lives and wealth.

Commentary (टीका)

Arjuna presents a powerful logical argument: the very people for whom one desires wealth and happiness are the ones who will perish in the war. What good is a kingdom enjoyed without the loved ones for whom it was sought? This is the tragedy of all wars — victory brings loss.
