Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

हे कृष्ण! मैं न विजय चाहता हूँ, न राज्य और न सुख। हे गोविन्द! हमें राज्य से क्या लाभ? भोगों से या जीवन से भी क्या?

English Translation

O Krishna, I do not desire victory, nor a kingdom, nor pleasures. O Govinda, of what use is a kingdom to us? What is the use of enjoyments or even life itself?

Commentary (टीका)

Arjuna renounces the very goals of the war — victory, kingdom, and pleasure. This extreme renunciation born from despair looks noble but is actually a form of escapism. Krishna will teach that true renunciation is not abandoning action but abandoning attachment to results while performing one's duty.
