Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
O Janardana, we have heard from the learned that those whose family traditions are destroyed are destined to dwell in hell for an indefinite period.
Commentary (टीका)
Arjuna cites scriptural authority ('anushushruma' — we have heard from the wise) to strengthen his argument. He invokes the fear of hell as the ultimate consequence. Ironically, it is precisely this kind of scriptural half-knowledge that Krishna will correct with complete spiritual wisdom.
