English Translation
Out of compassion for them, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy the darkness born of ignorance with the shining lamp of knowledge.
Commentary (टीका)
This beautiful verse uses the metaphor of a lamp dispelling darkness. God dwells within the heart (atma-bhava-sthah) and acts from within to remove ignorance. The compassion (anukampa) of the Divine is the motivating force. This internal guidance is available to all who sincerely seek, making spiritual realization accessible through divine grace rather than mere human effort.
