Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
महर्षियों में मैं भृगु हूँ, वाणी में एकाक्षर ॐ हूँ, यज्ञों में जपयज्ञ हूँ और स्थावर (अचल) पदार्थों में हिमालय हूँ।
English Translation
Of the great sages I am Bhrigu; of speech I am the single syllable Om; of sacrifices I am the sacrifice of silent chanting (japa); and of immovable things I am the Himalayas.
Commentary (टीका)
Bhrigu is the foremost of the Saptarishis, Om is the essence of all Vedic utterances, japa (silent repetition of God's name) is the purest form of sacrifice requiring no external materials, and the Himalayas are the grandest of mountains. The identification with japa-yajna is especially noteworthy as it makes divine worship accessible to all — requiring only sincere inner devotion.
