Commentary (टीका)
Arjuna asks six fundamental questions covering the entire spectrum of metaphysical inquiry. This verse sets the stage for Krishna's discourse on the distinction between matter and spirit. In some recensions of the Gita, this verse is not included, and the chapter begins directly with Krishna's response.
