नित्यं च समचित्तत्वमिष्टानिष्टोपपत्तिषु॥१०॥

Nityam Cha Sama-Chittatvam-Ishta-Anishta-Upapattishu.

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

पुत्र, पत्नी, घर आदि में आसक्ति और ममता का अभाव, तथा इष्ट और अनिष्ट की प्राप्ति में सदा समान चित्तता —

English Translation

Non-attachment and absence of excessive affection for son, wife, home and the like, and constant equanimity of mind upon the occurrence of desirable and undesirable events —

Commentary (टीका)

Non-attachment does not mean abandoning one's family but performing one's duties without clinging or possessiveness. Equanimity in favorable and unfavorable circumstances reflects a mind grounded in wisdom. This balanced state allows one to respond to life's events without being overwhelmed by them.
