Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

That is the light of all lights, said to be beyond darkness. It is knowledge itself, the object of knowledge, and attainable through knowledge — seated in the hearts of all.

Commentary (टीका)

One of the most luminous verses in the Gita, describing Brahman as the ultimate source of all light — the sun, moon, and fire shine only because of It. It transcends all darkness of ignorance. It is simultaneously the means of knowing (knowledge), the thing to be known (the knowable), and the goal reached through knowledge, residing in every heart.
