Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

Entering the earth, I sustain all beings with My energy. Becoming the sap-giving moon (Soma), I nourish all plants.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna describes His sustaining role in nature through two functions. First, He enters the earth and sustains all living beings through His vital energy — this explains the gravitational and life-supporting force of the earth. Second, as the moon (Soma), He provides the nourishing sap that makes plants grow. This reveals the divine intelligence operating behind natural processes that we take for granted.
