Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
I am seated in the hearts of all. From Me come memory, knowledge, and their removal. I alone am to be known by all the Vedas. I am the author of Vedanta and the knower of the Vedas.
Commentary (टीका)
This is one of the most important and frequently quoted verses of the Gita. Krishna reveals His presence in every heart as the inner controller (Antaryamin). Memory, knowledge, and even forgetfulness are controlled by Him. All Vedic scriptures ultimately point to Him as the Supreme Truth. As the author of Vedanta (the end/essence of the Vedas) and the knower of their true meaning, Krishna is both the source and goal of all scriptural knowledge.
