Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

जो दान अनुचित देश-काल में, अपात्र को, बिना सत्कार के और अपमानपूर्वक दिया जाता है — वह तामसिक कहा गया है।

English Translation

That charity which is given at the wrong place and time, to unworthy persons, without respect, or with contempt — that is declared to be tamasic.

Commentary (टीका)

Tamasic charity fails on every count — wrong timing, wrong recipient, and wrong attitude. Giving with contempt or disrespect degrades both giver and receiver. Even the act of giving can become harmful when it lacks discernment and basic human dignity.
