अर्जुन बोले — हे महाबाहो! हे हृषीकेश! हे केशिनिषूदन! मैं सन्न्यास और त्याग के तत्त्व को पृथक्-पृथक् जानना चाहता हूँ।
English Translation
Arjuna said: O mighty-armed one, O Hrishikesha, O slayer of the Keshi demon, I wish to know the truth about renunciation (sannyasa) and relinquishment (tyaga) separately.
Commentary (टीका)
The final chapter opens with Arjuna seeking clarity on two seemingly similar concepts — sannyasa and tyaga. His use of three names for Krishna reflects deep respect and the gravity of this concluding inquiry. This question sets up Krishna's comprehensive final teaching.
