न तदस्ति पृथिव्यां वा दिवि देवेषु वा पुनः।
सत्त्वं प्रकृतिजैर्मुक्तं यदेभिः स्यात्त्रिभिर्गुणैः॥
Transliteration
Na tad-asti prithivyam va divi deveshu va punah
Sattvam prakriti-jair-muktam yad-ebhih syat-tribhir-gunaih

पृथ्वी पर या स्वर्ग में देवताओं में — ऐसा कोई भी प्राणी नहीं है जो प्रकृति से उत्पन्न इन तीनों गुणों से मुक्त हो।
English Translation
There is no being on earth or in heaven among the gods that is free from these three gunas born of material nature.
Commentary (टीका)
This universal statement emphasizes that all embodied beings — from the lowliest creature to the most exalted god — are under the influence of the three gunas. No one in material existence is exempt. This understanding fosters humility and motivates the aspiration to transcend the gunas through spiritual realization.
