O Arjuna, the Supreme Lord dwells in the hearts of all beings, causing them to revolve as if mounted on a machine, through the power of Maya.

Commentary (टीका)

This vivid image reveals that God resides in every heart and is the ultimate mover behind all beings. The 'machine' metaphor suggests the body-mind complex driven by prakriti under God's supervision. This is not fatalism but the recognition that divine intelligence guides the cosmic dance of all existence.
