English Translation
O Partha, do not yield to unmanliness. It does not befit you. O scorcher of enemies, give up this petty weakness of heart and arise!
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna calls Arjuna 'Parantapa' (scorcher of enemies) to remind him of his warrior identity. The command 'Uttishtha' (Arise!) is one of the most powerful words in the Gita — a call to action that echoes through centuries. Krishna reframes Arjuna's compassion as 'petty weakness' to jolt him awake.
