Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
There is no wisdom for the undisciplined, nor is there contemplation for the undisciplined. Without contemplation there is no peace, and without peace, where is happiness?
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna traces a logical chain: discipline leads to wisdom, wisdom to contemplation, contemplation to peace, and peace to happiness. Without the first link, none of the others can follow. This is both a warning and a roadmap — the path to happiness begins with self-discipline, not with seeking pleasure directly.
