Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

As the wind carries away a boat on the water, the mind that follows the wandering senses carries away one's wisdom.

Commentary (टीका)

The boat-on-water analogy perfectly captures how easily wisdom can be lost. A boat without an anchor is at the mercy of the wind; similarly, a mind that chases after wandering senses loses its spiritual anchor. The solution is not to stop the wind but to anchor the boat — through meditation and devotion.
