Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

Know that prescribed action arises from the Vedas, and the Vedas arise from the Imperishable (Brahman). Therefore, the all-pervading Brahman is eternally established in sacrifice.

Commentary (टीका)

This completes the cosmic cycle by tracing action back to its ultimate source — the Imperishable Brahman. Vedas prescribe action, action produces sacrifice, sacrifice sustains creation, and all of this emanates from and rests in Brahman. Sacrifice is thus the very nature of the Divine operating in creation.
