Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

Those who desire success in their actions worship the demigods in this world, for in the human world, success born of action comes quickly.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna explains why most people worship various deities rather than the Supreme — it is because they seek quick material results. Worship of demigods yields rapid worldly benefits, and people are naturally attracted to quick returns. However, such results are temporary, unlike the eternal fruit of surrendering to the Supreme Lord.
