But renunciation, O mighty-armed, is difficult to attain without yoga. The sage engaged in yoga quickly attains Brahman.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna provides the practical reason why karma yoga is preferred — renunciation without the foundation of selfless action is extremely difficult and can lead to frustration. A person who purifies their mind through yoga (selfless action) quickly attains the supreme truth. Action serves as the stepping stone to the highest renunciation.
