Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

When the fully disciplined mind rests in the Self alone, free from longing for all desires — then one is said to be united (yukta) in yoga.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna defines the state of yoga precisely: the mind rests exclusively in the Self, without being pulled by any desire. This is not suppression of desires but a natural state where the mind has found such complete fulfillment in the Self that external desires simply lose their appeal. This verse describes the goal of all meditation practice.
