असंशयं महाबाहो मनो दुर्निग्रहं चलम्।
अभ्यासेन तु कौन्तेय वैराग्येण च गृह्यते॥

Asamshayam Maha-Baho Mano Dur-Nigraham Chalam.
Abhyasena Tu Kaunteya Vairagyena Cha Grihyate.

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
श्रीभगवान बोले — हे महाबाहो! निःसंदेह मन चञ्चल और दुर्निग्रह (कठिनाई से वश में होने वाला) है। परन्तु हे कौन्तेय! अभ्यास और वैराग्य से यह वश में किया जा सकता है।
English Translation
The Supreme Lord said: Undoubtedly, O mighty-armed, the mind is restless and difficult to control. But, O Kaunteya, it can be mastered through practice (abhyasa) and detachment (vairagya).
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna does not deny Arjuna's observation — He fully agrees that the mind is difficult to control. But then He gives the definitive solution: abhyasa (repeated practice) and vairagya (detachment/dispassion). These twin disciplines are the universal prescription for mastering the mind, echoed by Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Persistent, patient practice combined with growing detachment from worldly allurements gradually tames even the wildest mind.
