Commentary (टीका)

Krishna describes the fate of the yoga-bhrashta (one who falls from yoga). Far from being destroyed, such a person first enjoys the heavenly realms earned by their spiritual merit, and then takes birth in a pure, wealthy family. This favorable rebirth provides the ideal circumstances for continuing their spiritual journey. No spiritual effort is ever lost — it carries forward across lifetimes.
