पार्थ नैवेह नामुत्र विनाशस्तस्य विद्यते।
न हि कल्याणकृत्कश्चिद्दुर्गतिं तात गच्छति॥
Transliteration
Partha Naiveha Na-Amutra Vinashas-Tasya Vidyate.
Na Hi Kalyana-Krit-Kashchid-Durgatim Tata Gachchhati.

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
श्रीभगवान बोले — हे पार्थ! न इस लोक में न परलोक में उसका विनाश होता है। हे तात (प्रिय)! कल्याण करने वाला कोई भी दुर्गति को नहीं प्राप्त होता।
English Translation
The Supreme Lord said: O Partha, there is no destruction for such a person either in this world or the next. Indeed, dear one, no one who does good ever comes to a bad end.
Commentary (टीका)
This is one of the most comforting and reassuring verses in all scripture. Krishna tenderly addresses Arjuna as 'tata' (dear one/friend) and gives an absolute assurance: no spiritual effort ever goes to waste. The failed yogi does not perish in either world. The universal principle is declared — no one who acts with good intention ever meets with a bad fate. This removes the greatest fear from the spiritual path.
