Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

Know that all states of being — whether of goodness (sattva), passion (rajas), or ignorance (tamas) — arise from Me alone. Yet I am not in them; they are in Me.

Commentary (टीका)

This profound verse establishes God's transcendence over the three gunas even while being their source. The gunas exist within God, but God is not limited by them. Like a potter who creates pots but is not confined within them, Krishna remains free and untouched by the qualities He generates.
