Jnana Vijnana Yoga - The Yoga of Knowledge and Wisdom

ज्ञानविज्ञानयोगः · ज्ञान विज्ञान योग

Bhagavad Gita Chapter 7, Jnana Vijnana Yoga, presents Lord Krishna's teaching on the complete knowledge of the Divine. Krishna reveals His two natures — the lower material nature (earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, intellect, ego) and the higher spiritual nature that sustains all life. He declares that everything is strung upon Him like pearls on a thread, and He is the essence in all elements — taste in water, light in the sun and moon, the sacred syllable Om in the Vedas. Krishna explains that His divine Maya, composed of the three gunas, is difficult to overcome, but those who surrender to Him cross beyond it. He describes four types of virtuous devotees who worship Him and declares the jnani (man of wisdom) as dearest to Him. The chapter culminates in the profound truth: Vasudevah Sarvam — Vasudeva (Krishna) is everything.
