Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
दोनों सेनाओं में उपस्थित श्वसुरों और सुहृदों (हितैषियों) को भी देखकर, कुन्तीपुत्र अर्जुन ने उन सब बन्धुओं को वहाँ खड़ा देखा।
English Translation
He also saw fathers-in-law and well-wishers in both armies. Seeing all these relatives present there, the son of Kunti (Arjuna) was deeply moved.
Commentary (टीका)
Verses 26-27 form a continuous description. The word 'ubhayoh' (both) is crucial — relatives are on both sides. This makes the war a family tragedy regardless of who wins. Arjuna's compassion arises from seeing the universality of kinship across enemy lines.
