नागों में मैं शेषनाग (अनन्त) हूँ, जलचरों में वरुण हूँ, पितरों में अर्यमा हूँ और नियम से शासन करने वालों में यमराज हूँ।
English Translation
Of the Nagas I am Ananta (Shesha); of aquatic beings, Varuna; of the ancestors, Aryama; and of controllers I am Yama (the god of death).
Commentary (टीका)
Ananta (Shesha) is the infinite serpent upon whom Vishnu reclines, Varuna is the lord of the waters, Aryama is the chief of the Pitris (ancestors), and Yama enforces cosmic justice as the lord of death. These vibhutis cover the realms of the underworld, oceans, ancestral world, and the domain of cosmic law and justice.
