English Translation
Of purifiers I am the wind; of warriors I am Rama; of fishes I am the shark (Makara); and of rivers I am the Ganges.
Commentary (टीका)
Wind purifies the atmosphere, Lord Rama is the ideal warrior-king, the Makara (shark or crocodile) is the most powerful aquatic creature, and the Ganges is the holiest of rivers. The mention of Rama as the supreme warrior is significant — it connects the avatar tradition, showing Krishna acknowledging another incarnation of Vishnu as His own divine glory.
