Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

I am the all-devouring death, and the origin of things yet to come. Among feminine qualities I am fame, prosperity, speech, memory, intelligence, steadfastness, and patience.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna encompasses both death and birth — the destruction of the old and the emergence of the new. The feminine qualities listed are personified as goddesses in Vedic tradition. By identifying with these, Krishna honors the divine feminine principle. Memory, intelligence, steadfastness, and patience are presented as manifestations of the Divine, elevating these qualities as sacred.
