यथा प्रदीप्तं ज्वलनं पतङ्गा
विशन्ति नाशाय समृद्धवेगाः।
तथैव नाशाय विशन्ति लोकास्
तवापि वक्त्राणि समृद्धवेगाः॥
Transliteration
Yatha Pradiptam Jvalanam Patanga
Vishanti Nashaya Samriddha-Vegah.
Tatha-Eva Nashaya Vishanti Lokas-
Tava-Api Vaktrani Samriddha-Vegah.

जैसे पतंगे तीव्र वेग से प्रज्वलित अग्नि में अपने विनाश के लिए प्रवेश करते हैं, वैसे ही ये लोग भी तीव्र वेग से आपके मुखों में अपने विनाश के लिए प्रवेश कर रहे हैं।
English Translation
As moths rush with great speed into a blazing fire for their destruction, so do these beings rush with great speed into Your mouths for their destruction.
Commentary (टीका)
The moth-and-flame simile highlights the tragic irony — beings hasten toward their own end, unable to resist the attraction of their destiny.
