English Translation
— always content, self-controlled, of firm resolve, with mind and intellect dedicated to Me — such a devotee of Mine is dear to Me.
Commentary (टीका)
Contentment, self-control, and firm determination characterize the ideal devotee. The culminating quality — 'mayy-arpita-mano-buddhih' (mind and intellect offered to Me) — ties back to verse 8's instruction. The beautiful phrase 'sa me priyah' (he is dear to Me) expresses God's personal affection, which repeats in the following verses.
