मानापमानयोस्तुल्यस्तुल्यो मित्रारिपक्षयोः।
सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी गुणातीतः स उच्यते॥२५॥
Transliteration
Mana-Apamanayos-Tulyas-Tulyo Mitra-Ari-Pakshayoh.
Sarva-Arambha-Parityagi Gunatitah Sa Uchyate.

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
मान और अपमान में समान, मित्र और शत्रु पक्ष में समान, सब आरम्भों (सकाम कर्मों) का त्यागी — वह गुणातीत कहा जाता है।
English Translation
He who is equal in honor and dishonor, equal toward friend and foe, who has renounced all self-motivated undertakings — he is said to have transcended the Gunas.
Commentary (टीका)
The description of the Gunatita concludes with equanimity toward honor and dishonor, friends and enemies, and the renunciation of all ego-driven initiatives. This does not mean inactivity but the abandonment of selfish motivation. Such a person acts from a state of inner freedom, not driven by personal gain or the desire for recognition.
