Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
इस जीवलोक में जीवभूत बना मेरा ही सनातन अंश प्रकृति में स्थित मन सहित छह इन्द्रियों को आकर्षित करता है (अर्थात् उनसे संघर्ष करता है)।
English Translation
An eternal fragment of Myself, becoming the living entity in the world of life, attracts (struggles with) the senses, with the mind as the sixth, which rest in Prakriti.
Commentary (टीका)
This is one of the most significant verses in the Gita, establishing the relationship between the individual soul and God. The soul is an eternal fragment (amsha) of Krishna — not a created entity but an everlasting part of the Divine. In the material world, this eternal soul struggles with the mind and five senses, which are products of Prakriti. Understanding one's divine origin is key to liberation.
