Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

When the lord of the body (the soul) obtains a body and when it leaves, it takes these (mind and senses) and goes, as the wind carries fragrances from their source.

Commentary (टीका)

The soul is compared to the wind that carries fragrances from flowers. Just as the wind is invisible yet carries scent from one place to another, the subtle body (mind and senses) accompanies the soul from one physical body to the next. This beautiful analogy explains the mechanism of transmigration — the soul does not travel alone but carries its mental impressions.
