English Translation
The Supreme Lord said: Fearlessness, purity of heart, steadfastness in the yoga of knowledge, charity, self-control, sacrifice, study of scriptures, austerity, and straightforwardness — these are divine qualities.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna begins enumerating the divine qualities that lead to liberation. Fearlessness tops the list because spiritual progress requires courage to face truth. Purity of heart and steadfastness in knowledge form the foundation of all other virtues.
