एतैर्विमुक्तः कौन्तेय तमोद्वारैस्त्रिभिर्नरः।

आचरत्यात्मनः श्रेयस्ततो याति परां गतिम्॥

Transliteration

Etair-vimuktah Kaunteya tamo-dvarais-tribhir-narah

Acharaty-atmanah shreyas-tato yati param gatim

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

हे कौन्तेय! इन तीन तमोद्वारों (अन्धकार के द्वारों) से मुक्त हुआ मनुष्य अपने कल्याण का आचरण करता है और फिर परम गति को प्राप्त होता है।

English Translation

A person who is freed from these three gates of darkness, O Kaunteya, practices what is good for the self and thus attains the supreme destination.

Commentary (टीका)

Liberation from lust, anger, and greed naturally leads to righteous conduct and spiritual progress. Once these destructive tendencies are overcome, the soul is free to pursue its highest good. This verse provides hope by showing that the path to the supreme is accessible to anyone who conquers these three enemies.
