One whose nature is free from ego and whose intellect is not tainted — even though slaying these people, that person neither kills nor is bound.

Commentary (टीका)

This verse directly addresses Arjuna's warrior dilemma. When action springs from an ego-free state with untainted intellect, even the act of killing in battle creates no karmic bondage. The verse does not glorify violence but reveals that consciousness, not external action, determines spiritual consequence.
