Yajna-dana-tapah-karma na tyajyam-iti cha-apare

कुछ विद्वान कहते हैं कि सब कर्म दोषयुक्त होने से त्याज्य हैं, और कुछ कहते हैं कि यज्ञ, दान और तप — ये कर्म नहीं त्यागने चाहिए।
English Translation
Some thinkers declare that all action should be abandoned as faulty, while others say that acts of sacrifice, charity, and austerity should never be given up.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna presents two philosophical positions debated among scholars. One view advocates complete renunciation of all action since every action has some imperfection. The other maintains that sacred acts like sacrifice, charity, and austerity must always be performed. Krishna will resolve this debate in the following verses.
