Tyago hi Purusha-vyaghra trividhah samprakirtitah

हे भरतसत्तम! हे पुरुषव्याघ्र! त्याग के विषय में मेरा निश्चय सुनो — त्याग भी तीन प्रकार का कहा गया है।
English Translation
Hear from Me the conclusion on this matter of relinquishment, O best of Bharatas. O tiger among men, relinquishment is declared to be of three kinds.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna promises His definitive verdict on the debate. The affectionate titles 'best of Bharatas' and 'tiger among men' indicate the importance of what follows. As with all phenomena in the Gita's framework, tyaga too is classified by the three gunas.
