सुखं त्विदानीं त्रिविधं शृणु मे भरतर्षभ।

अभ्यासाद्रमते यत्र दुःखान्तं च निगच्छति॥

हे भरतर्षभ! अब तीन प्रकार के सुख को मुझसे सुनो — जिसमें अभ्यास से आनन्द मिलता है और दुःख का अन्त होता है।

English Translation

Now hear from Me, O best of Bharatas, about the threefold happiness. That happiness in which one delights through practice and in which suffering comes to an end —

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna now classifies happiness itself by the three gunas. The introduction highlights a key principle: genuine happiness requires practice and patience but ultimately leads to the cessation of all suffering. This counters the illusion that instant gratification equals true happiness.
