Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

संजय ने कहा — हे भारत! दोनों सेनाओं के बीच शोक करते हुए अर्जुन से हृषीकेश श्रीकृष्ण ने मानो मुस्कुराते हुए ये वचन कहे।

English Translation

Sanjaya said: O Bharata (Dhritarashtra), between the two armies, to the grieving Arjuna, Hrishikesha (Krishna) spoke these words, as if smiling.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna's smile ('prahasann iva') is deeply meaningful. It is not mockery but the gentle smile of a compassionate teacher who knows the solution to a problem the student cannot yet see. It also reflects the divine perspective — from the standpoint of eternal truth, Arjuna's grief, though understandable, is based on ignorance.
