Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)
English Translation
Just as the embodied soul passes through childhood, youth, and old age in this body, so too does it pass into another body. The wise person is not deluded by this.
Commentary (टीका)
Krishna uses a brilliant analogy — if we don't grieve as our body changes from child to youth to old age (though the body at each stage is entirely different), why grieve when the soul changes to an entirely new body at death? The transition called 'death' is simply the next change, like growing from youth to old age.
