अथ चैनं नित्यजातं नित्यं वा मन्यसे मृतम्।

तथापि त्वं महाबाहो नैवं शोचितुमर्हसि॥२६॥

Transliteration

Atha Chainam Nitya-Jatam Nityam Va Manyase Mritam.

Tatha-Api Tvam Maha-Baho Naivam Shochitum-Arhasi.||26||

Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

और यदि तुम इस आत्मा को सदा जन्मने वाला और सदा मरने वाला भी मानते हो, तब भी हे महाबाहो! तुम्हें शोक नहीं करना चाहिए।

English Translation

However, even if you think the soul is constantly born and constantly dies, O mighty-armed, you still should not grieve.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna addresses even the materialist viewpoint: even if one doesn't accept the soul's eternality and believes beings are born and die repeatedly as part of nature's cycle, grief is still pointless. What is inevitable and natural should not be a cause for lamentation. This shows Krishna's comprehensive approach, addressing all possible philosophical positions.
