Hindi Translation (हिन्दी अर्थ)

English Translation

Full of desires, with heaven as their goal, their words promise rebirth as the fruit of actions, prescribing elaborate rituals aimed at gaining pleasure and power.

Commentary (टीका)

Krishna describes the trap of karma-kanda (ritualistic religion): performing rituals solely for heavenly rewards leads to an endless cycle of action and reaction. Even heavenly pleasures are temporary — one returns to earthly existence when the merit is exhausted. True spirituality transcends this cycle entirely.
